Power Dialer
As standard, A2Billing comes equipped with a predictive dialer. This allows the broadcasting of messages to large numbers of people in a short space of time.
This service has been used by Star2Billing in a number of imaginative ways, one of which being debt collection for a large Telecoms Company, who used the system to call its customers where their invoices were overdue, optionally reading out the balance of their account, and then offering an option to be connected to customer services.
The system was said to have paid for itself in the space of seven days, and the staff who were on debt collection met their monthly target for collections in the space of a few days.
The system is now being considered for use as a mass marketing tool.
Industry figures suggest that without a predictive dialer, a call centre can make outbound calls, and be profitable for about 15 to 20 minutes in the hour. With the addition of a predictive dialer, this figure can be increased to approximately 45 to 50 minutes in the hour, making the operation, potentially 3 times as profitable, or achieving the same workload with 1/3rd of the staff.
The predictive dialer was first introduced to A2Billing as a result of the Earthquake in Kashmir of October 2005, to assist a charity helping with re-homing. The system was further overhauled with the release of A2Billing 1.4, and is now highly capable and flexible.
